Pick n Pay – For Love of Water 2012
Thank you Pick n Pay for your considerable contribution to drive action awareness both internally, to your customers and to the general public.
This year Pick N Pay activated the For Love Of Water messaging through various channels during the Month of March and still continue to do so into April. Examples of what they created include the following:
In-store: They showed water tips and on their in-store plasma screens and they marketed and sold FLOW retail shopper bags supplied by Township Patterns.
Event: Pick n Pay featured the FLOW Identity on their Argus Cycle Tour Exhibition stand at the Good Hope Centre and during the tour they worked together with the City of Cape Town to brand and provide a City Water Tanker at the Jubilee Square Water Point in Simonstown. They are also branding 2 more of the City Tankers with the required Water Messaging to be used for Emergency Water Access throughout the year.
Pick n Pay were quick to become the primary Sponsor for the TEDx Sea Point Event ” Who moved my sushi”. This together with their ongoing support of the WWF SASSI programm reinforces their commitment to only stock fish sourced from sustainable fisheries by 2015.They clearly appreciate and understand the need for ongoing awareness, education and action in the realm of marine conservation.
Pick n Pay also stepped up to be the key sponsors of ‘ Stories for Love of Water’ where public figures were asked to share their water story. These Stories were featured on TV, Online and on Ster Kinekor Screens Nationwide.
Online & Social Media: Pick n Pay featured and drove FLOW messaging on their website, social media and in their monthly online staff publication also in support of the innovative #Closethetap Campaign
Pick n Pay were in fact the First Corporate to make a direct financial contribution towards the FLOW movement in 2010 and the launch event and over the past two years have expanded that support considerably.
