Stories For Love Of Water
March is a Month of FLOW featuring a number of key Water events including;
National Water Week (5th-11th), World Water Forum (12th-17th) & World Water Day (22nd).
This month provides an opportunity for Government, Business, Civil Society, Media and individuals to unite through collective conversation and action to change the course of our growing water crisis by sharing their story of change utilising the call to action “ For love of water…share your story”
Water is systemic – integrally used in all we do. It’s not just what you see coming out of the taps. Water is used to grow and process our food, generate our electricity, make our cars, build our homes and our cities, and it is even needed to package and transport the products we buy. We cannot live without clean water. It truly is vital to our individual and collective wellbeing. Water is our life blood, making up over 70% of our bodies and this planet. We are the problem, and yet we are also the solution.
By utilising various media platforms (radio, video and online) and the universal appeal of stories and content from inspiring people we seek to drive the much needed behaviour change.
During March Organizations and individuals are being asked to create interviews (Audio and Video) or simply add to an existing planned interview a few questions around this issue. For example: Why is water important to you, Why do you love Water? How does water inspire you? What do you do / what can we do to protect and conserve it? “.
The footage captured can then be hosted / posted to any preferred communication platform or via www.flow.org.za. All content linked will be promoted throughout the FLOW Networks.
Water is life. It is your life, my life, our life.
