I never buy bottled water, the tap is off when I wash hands/brush teeth etc, I bath rather than shower and fill the bath 1/4.. and generally very conscious about water usage... oh, and don't flush unnecessarily at home :)

I have started planting only waterwise, indigenous plants. I grow my own herbs and veg in pots that I water with a watering can only when needed. My son and I shower almost all the time, instead of bathing.

I constantly urge people to "tap it" i.e use a purifier or even a Brita jug to filter their own water. I advocate against the use of bottled water and highlight its impact on our environment.

We have rainwater tanks to catch water our vegetable garden. Bath and shower water is recycled to the lawn. Water from the washing machine is used on compost heaps.
